Studies Say That Vaping Might Actually Be Good For You

Even if there is substantial evidence suggesting that vaping is a better alternative to smoking, people who are not part of the culture still consider it just as harmful. Just in the last few months though, evidence among different studies suggest that an e-cigarette is in fact, better than analog smoking.

In a recent study in England published in the BMI, it is suggested that vaping devices/e-cigarettes helped a substantial amount of smokers to stop. Just in 2015, 18,000 ex-smokers managed to quit entirely after using a vaping device as an alternative. This is some good progress if you’d ask us. If the trend continues, the tobacco industry will die out in the near future.

While a primary danger that vape mods post is that their batteries vent when mishandled, there are ways to completely avoid vaping mishaps and explosions. These dangers aren’t really serious, and most of the things that you see on the news are probably black propaganda purported by the tobacco industry. In fact, if vaping was indeed bad, then why are big companies, like Apple, trying to enter the culture?

The harm perceptions that we think vaping provides are false. From different studies, it has been observed that inhaling nicotine without the combustion as smoking is over 90% safer than smoking. The study was put together by Doctors at the Royal College of Physicians, and it is clearly indicated on the paper that vaping wouldn’t have the same risk-rate as tobacco. As a matter of fact, risks of lung diseases in e-cigarettes wouldn’t exceed 5% compared to analog smoking.

Apart from Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), experts are suggesting that we include vaping to the list of methods that we can use to quit smoking. Even health charities and public health bodies in the UK agree that they are, as of the moment, risk free.

E-Cigarettes save lives by helping people quit. Period. It is important though, that we vape safely. Also, do not allow minors to vape. A good rule of thumb is that if it’s not their legal age to smoke, then it’s not their age to vape. The problem with letting kids and teens vape is that they raise more red flags from the local government, and vaping-related accidents are usually caused by kids irresponsibly showing off their mods.
