The vaping business has seen a tremendous boom during the late 2015s. With shops popping like mushrooms everywhere, you might be wondering if it’s a profitable industry. It is, and it is the same reason why everyone is trying to cash in on it.

If you are planning to start a vape shop, you have to have an idea on how vaping works and it is preferable that you have intermediate vaping knowledge. Also, here are more things you should take note of when starting and operating a vaping business/e-cigarette shop:

Define the type of vape shop that you will start

Although the general idea of a vape shop is to have e-cigarettes, e-liquids, and other vaping items, people have gotten more creative and added their own flavor to the business. Now, there are vape bars, vape and food hubs, vape shops with internet cafes, and many more. No matter what service or product you would like to add to your vape shop, make sure that you have a passion for it and not just because you think it would be profitable.

Remember the #1 rule

You should never ever be selling any vaping products to minors. Why? Because the industry has seen so much oppression from local governments and black propaganda from the mainstream media that is linked to minors trying to vape and using it as a gateway to drugs and other vices. Although I personally would call bullcrap on this, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Also, you’d get a lot of hate if you sell vaping products to minors, so it’s not really worth it.

Do your research

Like any other business, entering the vaping industry requires a bit of market research. Identify how much people are smoking and already vaping in your area, and try to look around if there are vape shops that are near your preferred location. If there is, try to estimate how much of the market share you can acquire and do a survey on how many people would like to try vaping as a means to quit smoking; only then will you be able to determine if it’s worth investing your hard-earned money, not to mention your time on your new chosen business.

Get yourself known to the industry

To simply put it, just stay active. Participate on online forums and share whatever knowledge you may have on vaping. Also, vaping events are your friend; most suppliers and manufacturers give out free product testers on vape conventions, giving you a heads up on what products might click on your shop.

Keep learning about vaping

When starting your shop, you should be well-acquainted to vaping safety. Apart from that, there are other things you should add to your skillset like building coils, choosing good wires depending on vaping habits, and still a lot more about vaping safety. Even if you are aware on how to keep vaping safe, stupid vapers keep finding ways to blow vape mods, so getting up to date with the latest vaping news is essential.

Like what I have been saying from my past articles, entering the vaping industry isn’t exactly rocket science, but requires a bit of effort in learning the ropes, and of course, investing your time to grow the business.
