Former Davao City Mayor and now Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is signing the executive order on the nationwide smoking ban in the country.

The ban doesn’t include electronic cigarettes, as confirmed by the Department of Health Secretary (DOH) Paulyn Ubial.

It may be noted that when the President was still the mayor of Davao City, a smoking ban was implemented and electronic cigarettes and other vaping devices where covered.

It is a good news to the Philippine vaping community, which speculated that vaping will be impacted by the said executive order. This means that vaping will still be allowed in public, in vaping conventions, and in vape shops.

Whether or not vaping will be banned in public sooner or later, we will never know. It is important to keep vaping responsibly to prevent such thing from happening.
